Have Fun With Puns to Show Your Volunteers Appreciation

Showing your volunteers appreciation for all that they do should always be a top priority. Coming up with new, genuine, and personal ways to show appreciation, can sometimes be challenging. What’s important to remember is to keep it simple, probably budget friendly (especially if you have a large group), and always keep it fun.

Appreciation through puns is a great go-to for thanking your volunteers. Whether you are adding this to your week’s volunteer celebration , or scattering a handful of these throughout the year, puns are always fun and help get the sentiments across perfectly.

Using phrases like “DONUT Know What I’d do Without You” or “Thank you for Making THYME” can be used along with a small token of appreciation.  Add cute packaging and a heartfelt little note and you’ve made your volunteer’s day (or year!). Trust us, “Cheesy puns, mac everyone so happy”! See what we did there?

Remember, showing your volunteers how much they are appreciated and valued, will ensure that they step up to lend their hands and make time for you year after year. The last thing you want is to gather a fantastic group of people and have them leave because they felt underappreciated.  Bring the “Pun Factor” in and you’re sure to build a strong community of participants.
