Meetings

Goodbye "meeting in the gym."
Hello "meeting in your pajamas!"

This may be a dream come true for you,  or a total nightmare.  But regardless,  it may be many months before meeting in person is an option. We still have business to conduct, so it's time to embrace new ways. If you are a "virtual meeting" master, send us your tips!!  If you are a rookie, here are some ideas to get you started.

Tips for "doing your business" online

Embrace Virtual Meetings

If you haven't already, now's the time to experiment with some online meeting software. Zoom, Skype and Uberconference are all good options, and have different benefits. (The Board Survival article below outlines some of those details.)

Don't be "that guy"

Theoretically, let's say you are in an online meeting, and need to pee. Probably your microphone is already muted—because that's what happens during meetings. But have you thought to TURN OFF YOUR VIDEO CAMERA? You should definitely turn off your video camera.

Use Integrated Software

Many groups use 10 or more different types of software to manage their organizations. Or they still rely on paper records and notebooks. If  this is your group, now might be a good time to switch to an all-in-one software. We'd be happy to show you what Membership Toolkit can do, if you are interested.
